Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College in Mathematics and a Master’s from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Mathematics and Education.  Rachel spent 20 years teaching high school math before deciding to explore other paths.

Rachel is temporarily living in Arlington, VA while her husband, Jeremy, serves as a Rotator at the NSF.  With her children, Elizabeth and John, away at college she has time to explore the city and figure out “what she wants to be when she grows up.”  In the meantime, she enjoys singing in a choir, belonging to several knitting and book groups, and spending time with her east coast friends and family.  In addition, she is enjoying being able to travel more regularly, including regular trips back to Champaign Urbana to visit friends.
